Abstract
Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic rheumatic disease included within the group of spondyloarthropathies, characterized by decreased flexibility and mobility coupled with the presence of structural and functional changes in the spine, which affect the quality of life of the person who suffers. Ankylosing spondylitis is common in women and it is considered that one of its trigger factors is the infectious agent and the congenital susceptibility to develop a spondyloarthropathy due to the presence of the HLAB27 gene, this disease begins between the ages of 16 and 40
