Abstract
El objetivo principal de esta investigación es establecer si el uso de las herramientas
informáticas, incorporadas en una plataforma educativa, tiene relación con el
rendimiento académico de los participantes de la Escuela Universitaria de
Educación a Distancia de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, Lima – Perú.
El método y tipo de investigación es de corte cuantitativo, específicamente de tipo
correlacional, ya que se pretendió determinar la posible relación entre dos variables
importantes y de interés, como es el uso de las herramientas informáticas y el
rendimiento académico, en una muestra representativa del estudio, en la
particularidad de que se trata de alumnos que estudian en la modalidad a distancia.
Los resultados de la investigación al establecer la relación positiva entre la VI y la
VD, solo confirmarían una tendencia o una alternativa en cuanto a los factores que
intervienen en la explicación del rendimiento académico, de modo que se podía
generalizar sus resultados solo en este aspecto y teniendo en cuenta las características
de los alumnos de la modalidad de educación a distancia.
Las conclusiones se pueden decir que en términos generales se ha encontrado que
existe una correlación alta entre el uso de las herramientas informáticas, y el
rendimiento académico, en alumnos de la EUDED - UNFV. Teniendo en cuenta que
esta modalidad educativa, tiene como componente importante a la tutoría virtual o a
distancia. Asi también, se ha podido encontrar que la frecuencia en el uso de los
recursos informáticos, y el conocimiento y manejo adecuado de los recursos
informáticos inciden directamente en el rendimiento académico en estos alumnos
The main objective of this research is to establish whether the use of computer tools, built into an educational platform, has relationship with the academic performance of the participants in the College of education at distance from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal, Lima - Peru. The method and type of research is quantitative cutting, specifically type correlation, since it intended to determine the possible relationship between two important variables and interest, as it is the use of computer tools and academic performance, in a representative sample of the study, in the particular question of students studying in distance mode. The results of the investigation to establish the positive relationship between the VI and the VD, only would confirm a trend or an alternative in the terms of the factors involved in the explanation of academic performance, so that you could generalize their results only in this aspect and taking into account the characteristics of the mode of distance education students. The conclusions can say that in general terms has been found that there is a high correlation between the use of computer tools, and academic achievement in students of the EUDED - UNFV. Taking into account this educational modality, has as a major component to the virtual tutoring or distance. So too, could find that the frequency in the use of computing resources, and the knowledge and appropriate management of computing resources directly affect academic performance in students
