Abstract
La enfermedad de la diabetes mellitus es una alteración metabólica que en los últimos años ha ido en aumento y está relacionado directamente con el desarrollo de la hiperglucemia, parámetro principal para identificar la diabetes, es por ello, que el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto hipoglucemiante del extracto acuoso de las hojas de Moringa oleífera Lam (Moringa) en ratas Holtzman (Rattus novergicus). Métodos y materiales: Las hojas de la moringa fueron recolectadas de la comunidad campesina “Santa Lucía de Ferreñafe del departamento de Lambayeque, de la cual se preparó el extracto acuoso que se sometieron a las pruebas de cromatografía en capa fina, tamizaje fitoquímico y solubilidad.
The disease of diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that in recent years has been increasing and is directly related to the development of hyperglycemia, the main parameter to identify diabetes, which is why the present work aimed to determine the hypoglycaemic effect of the aqueous extract of the leaves of Moringa oleífera Lam (Moringa) in Holtzman rats (Rattus novergicus). Methods and materials: Moringa leaves were collected from the "Santa Lucía de Ferreñafe" peasant community of the department of Lambayeque, from which the aqueous extract was prepared and subjected to thin layer chromatography, phytochemical screening and solubility tests.
