Abstract
The objective of the study was to determine if the hydroalcoholic extract of the leaves of Cestrum auriculatum Heritier "Holy Grass" have analgesic effect in mice with induction to abdominal contortions. An experimental, prospective and longitudinal methodology was used. To induce abdominal contours, 0.8% acetic acid was used at a dose of 0.1 mL / 10 g of mouse body weight intraperitoneally. Seven experimental groups were formed; G1: Physiological saline solution 5 mL / Kg, G2: 0.8% acetic acid (AA), G3: Tramadol 40 mg / Kg + AA, G4: Paracetamol 300 mg / Kg + AA, G5: Extract 50 mg / Kg + AA, G6: Extract 100 mg / Kg + AA,
