Abstract
La enfermedad de Osgood-Schlatter o osteocondrosis de la espina tibial, se caracteriza por un dolor en la parte anterior de la tibia, se produce por una tracción de la tuberosidad tibial causado por un esfuerzo repetitivo del músculo cuádriceps. Se presenta con más frecuencia en adolescente entre los 10 y 15 años de edad teniendo más incidencia en varones. Los pacientes con la enfermedad de Osgood-Schlatter refieren dolor al subir y bajar escaleras, pueden presentar una tumefacción en la parte anterior de la tibia con dolor a la palpación. Para el diagnóstico de la enfermedad el médico realiza diferentes exámenes de imágenes como rayos x, ecografía y resonancia magnética.
