Abstract
The fracture of the femoral head is a very complex and difficult to treat pathology. It occurs mainly in elderly patients, being due to low-energy accidents, but not in the young patient, in productive age, in which a large percentage will be the result of a high-energy accident or some underlying disease. In young patients, these fractures are usually the result of high-energy trauma, such as car crashes, in elderly patients have a higher prevalence, ie in patients over 60 years.
