Abstract

La mayoría de los problemas bucales de los niños tiene su origen en todo su proceso de desarrollo. Hay lesiones o alteraciones que pueden estar presentes al nacer o se van observando durante su crecimiento. Algunos trastornos son de origen hereditario y en muchos casos su etiología es desconocida, aunque quizás no se conozca la causa de la mayoría de las anomalías si sabemos como diagnosticarla y tratarla, en muchos casos se requiere ayuda multidisciplinaria de los cirujanos maxilofaciales, ortodoncistas. Este trabajo incluye las anomalías o problemas bucales que frecuentemente observamos en Odontopediatría, los signos y síntomas para su diagnóstico y las alternativas de tratamientos como en el caso de ránula, mucocele, frenillo linguales patológicos, dientes supernumerarios, dientes retenidos, odontomas y las indicaciones en el caso de una exodoncia.
