Abstract
En el presente estudio se plantea como problema principal: ¿De qué manera la motivación pedagógica se relaciona con el rendimiento académico del área de comunicación en los estudiantes de 4to y 5to grado de educación secundaria?; la investigación es no experimental, transversal, nivel descriptivo correlacional, tipo básica, la población estuvo conformada por 129 estudiantes de 4to y 5to grado de educación secundaria, la muestra es de tipo probabilística estratificada, aplicación de fórmula estadística con un total de 97 estudiantes. Se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y la observación, como instrumentos se aplicaron el cuestionario de motivación pedagógica y el registro de actas de evaluación del área de comunicación. Para la validación se aplicó el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman rs = 0,846, con un p_valor = 0,003 < 0,05, se concluye que existe relación significativa entre la motivación pedagógica y el rendimiento académico del área de comunicación en los estudiantes de 4to y 5to grado de educación secundaria
