Abstract
Class II malocclusion is the most frequent anomaly in the population that occurs in the orthodontic consultation, and that can affect the individual in its aesthetic, functional and social aspects. That is why there are various types of orthopedic-orthodontic treatment that help restore balance and harmony in skeletal, dental and bone structures. This malocclusion is characterized by a distal relation of the inferior arch with respect to the superior arch, due to bone dysplasias, mesial movement of the superior arch, or a combination of dental and skeletal factors. The treatment of class II continues to be a great challenge in which we face orthodontists on a daily basis. To be effective and efficient is to achieve the objectives set using resources well, in order to obtain the correct treatment in the shortest time possible.
