Abstract
La pesquería de anchoveta (Engraulisringens) del Perú es una de las más grandes del mundo, y representa cerca del 10% de las capturas marinas a nivel mundial y en promedio se exporta un 90% de la producción nacional. Este recurso se destina básicamente al Consumo Humano Indirecto (CHI).
El Perú es el segundo productor mundial de productos pesqueros,cerca del 80% de la
producción mundial de harina de pescado se concentra en 10 países, siendo el Perú el principal productor de harina de pescado en el mundo (30% del total), seguido de Chile, Tailandia, EE.UU., Islandia y Dinamarca, según estadísticas de la Organización Internacional de Productores de Harina y Aceite de Pescado (IFFO).
Anchoveta fishery (Engraulisringens) of Peru is one of the largest in the world, and represents about 10% of global marine catches and on average 90% of domestic production is exported. This resource is basically intended for Indirect Human Consumption (CHI). Peru is the second largest producer of fishery products and the first mundi producer, about 80% of world production of fishmeal is concentrated in 10 countries, with Peru, the largest producer of fishmeal in the world (30% of total), followed by Chile, Thailand, USA, Iceland and Denmark, according to statistics from the International Organization of Fishmeal and Fish Oil Producers (IFFO).
