Diseño de data center basado en el estándar ANSI/BICSI-002-2014 para el funcionamiento de los servicios y aplicaciones de la Cooperativa Nuevo Milenio

Abstract

La cooperativa de ahorro y crédito Nuevo Milenio empresa dedicada a brindar servicios financieros no bancarios a una amplia cartera de clientes realizan sus operaciones de manera presencial y otras por transacciones a través de bancos, se encuentra bajo la necesidad de solucionar los problemas que se están presentando constantemente en la empresa, en lo que respecta a sus equipos de TI, a sus desconexiones de su red de datos y las deficiencias que existen en sus sistemas de apoyo los cuales son provocados por contar con un área de sistemas que no se encuentra en las mejores condiciones para operar de manera adecuada, debido a que su infraestructura de facilities es deficiente y no cumple con aspectos técnicos para garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de los equipos que albergan en esta área por lo que constantemente se presentan caídas en sus servicios y aplicaciones que afectan la continuidad de las operaciones de la empresa. El propósito de este trabajo de investigación fue resolver estos problemas proponiendo el diseño de un Data Center basado en las buenas prácticas, recomendaciones y sugerencias del estándar ANSI/BICSI-002-2014. Los resultados obtenidos en las validaciones realizadas indicaron que el diseño del Data Center cumple con los objetivos establecidos por lo que garantizan el funcionamiento de los servicios y aplicaciones de la cooperativa Nuevo Milenio.The New Millennium Savings and Credit Cooperative, a company dedicated to providing nonbanking financial services to a broad portfolio of clients, operates in person and other transactions through banks, is under the need to solve the problems that are constantly arising in the company, as regards its IT equipment, their disconnections from their data network and the deficiencies that exist in their support systems which are caused by having an area of systems that is not in the best conditions to operate properly, because their Facilities infrastructure is deficient and does not meet technical aspects to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment they host in this area so that they constantly present falls in their services and applications affecting the business continuity. The purpose of this research work was to solve these problems by proposing the design of a Data Center based on the good practices, recommendations and suggestions of the ANSI/BICSI-002-2014 standard. The results obtained in the validations carried out indicated that the design of the Data Center complies with the established objectives and guarantee the functioning of the services and applications of the New Millennium cooperative.
