Abstract

In pediatric dentistry, the application of anesthetic techniques is accompanied by good behavior management to achieve patient collaboration. In this work we develop basic concepts on nerve conduction, the mechanism of action of local anesthetics and the use of vasoconstrictors in children; anatomical considerations are also detailed during the development of the jaws, for the application of the different techniques used in pediatric dentistry, focused on the objective of providing greater tools to achieve a successful local anesthesia.
