Abstract
The whiplash syndrome is a growing health problem in the world, becoming a real public health problem. (1) Despite the high costs required for its management, this syndrome is becoming very important nowadays, due to its incidence and the diversity of complications. This occurs as a result of a closed traumatism of the cervical spine with elongation of the ligamentous and muscular elements by a process of acceleration and deceleration, usually produced in a traffic accident. The Manual Therapy is an area of Physiotherapy constituted by the set of methods and acts with the therapeutic and / or preventive purpose that we apply manually on the muscular, bony, conjunctive and nervous tissues. The manipulation / spinal mobilization and soft tissue mobilization techniques are manual therapies commonly used in the management of neck disorders. There are many clinical trials that have analyzed the effectiveness of manipulation.
