Abstract

The sample of the study consisted of 200 people, who were studied through the survey technique, through a questionnaire with questions about demographic data, associated factors and self-medication with antibiotics. The data analysis was performed in the SPSS version 24 for windows, using relative frequencies and total percentages and for the determination of the relation, the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of the investigation showed that the associated factors have a high positive relation with self-medication with antibiotics (0.77). On the other hand, social factors have a moderate positive relationship (0.68) with self-medication with antibiotics, economic factors have a high positive correlation (0.79) with self-medication with antibiotics and personal factors have a high positive correlation (0.77) with self-medication with antibiotics. In conclusion, the main hypothesis is confirmed, since there is a significant high relation between the associated factors and self-medication with antibiotics in the district of Villa María del Triunfo in 2016
