Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de desarrollo psicomotor de los niños de 3 años de una Institución Educación Inicial de Chorrillos. Estudio descriptivo, con una muestra censal de 71 niños del género masculino y femenino. Se utilizó el Test de Desarrollo Psicomotor (TEPSI) de las autoras Haeussler y Marchant (1994), el cual arrojo los resultados siguientes: Desarrollo psicomotor en general, 93% se ubican en el nivel normal, dejando un 6% en el nivel de riesgo y sólo un 1% en un nivel de retraso, en la dimensión de coordinación, en un nivel normal el 90%, un 9% en riesgo y solo un 1% en retraso, en la dimensión de lenguaje, en un nivel normal el 96%, un 4% se ubica en riesgo y no se identificó a ningún niño en el nivel de retraso, la dimensión de motricidad tuvo como resultados, 86% normal, 10% en riego y un 4% en retraso. Los resultados mostraron que existe un gran número de niños en un nivel de normalidad, y una minoría en riesgo o retraso
