Abstract
Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome is a common syndrome in children and is the main cause of acute renal failure and the second cause of chronic renal failure and renal transplantation in childhood, which occurs after a gastrointestinal (enteric) infection usually caused by an specific strain of the bacterium Escherichia coli.
