Abstract
Spasticity is a motor disorder that occurs at the level of the central nervous system as a result of injury to the upper motor neuron, it is defined as an increase in the muscle stretch reflex which depends on muscle movement. There are different pathogenic mechanisms involved in this disorder, including a decrease in neuronal inhibitions that bring as a consequence, hyperreflexia and hypertonia, we have as epidemiological data Ictus: 2-3 per 100 inhabitants 20-30%, 180,000-230,000, people with post-stroke spasticity.
