Abstract
A fracture of the distal humerus affects the elbow joint, which coordinates the movements of the upper limb, facilitating the execution of activities of daily living, such as grooming, dressing and cooking. The fracture of the distal extremity of the humerus continues to represent a fracture that is difficult to resolve due to its location and its anatomy. This, added to the importance of the associated joint (the elbow), gives importance to its study. This work was responsible for collecting and selecting information in order to establish an efficient treatment seeking the prompt rehabilitation of the patient. We reviewed books, articles and studies with scientific evidence of platforms such as pubmed, scielo and magazines, carried out mainly in the last 10 years.
