Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe
entre el apoyo emocional que brinda la enfermera y aceptación de la
enfermedad en los pacientes con hemodiálisis, Centro de Diálisis del
Santa, Chimbote, 2017.
El nivel que se utilizó fue descriptivo, con diseño correlacional que busca
la relación entre las variables, de corte transversal y de tipo cuantitativa.
La muestra de estudio estuvo conformada por 92 pacientes tanto varones
y mujeres hemodializados que son atendidos en el Centro de Diálisis del
Santa. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó como instrumento el
cuestionario con una escala de Likert, en la cual se obtuvo para la
variable apoyo emocional una confiabilidad de 0,897 y la variable
aceptación de la enfermedad una confiabilidad de 0,856. Los resultados
arrojaron que el 45.65% de los encuestados perciben un nivel regular con
respecto a la variable apoyo emocional, el 30.43% perciben un nivel
bueno y un 23.91% un nivel malo por otra parte también se observó el
56.52% de los encuestados presentan un nivel regular con respecto a la
variable aceptación de la enfermedad, el 25.00% presentan un nivel
bueno y un 18.48% un nivel malo.
Se concluye que existe una correlación directa y positivamente entre la
variable apoyo emocional y aceptación de la enfermedad, según la
correlación de Spearman de 0.692, teniendo un resultado moderado. Se
recomienda al profesional de enfermería desarrollar investigaciones
tendientes a establecer asociación entre tiempo con la enfermedad y
capacidad de afrontamiento y adaptación. Así mismo a las instituciones
que implementen modelos de atención de acuerdo a las necesidades que
estos presentan, viendo a los pacientes como seres biopsicosociales para
brindar servicios con calidad y eficiencia.
