Abstract

Descriptive and correlational research, with a sample of 155 children. The questionnaire used in this project was validated by the experts jury; with the Cronbach alpha test we obtained 0.057 on level of reliability and 0.060 on validation, these results showed that 14.19% of mothers have a high level on the consumption of micronutrients, 55.81% have a medium level and a 20% of the samples have a low level. On the other hand, regarding the anemia prevention, 18.06% have a good level, 69.03% have a regular one and 12.90% present a negative level of prevention. In conclusion, comparing the general hypothesis with the results, we can affirm that there is a significant relation between the consumption of micronutrients and the anemia prevention. With a spearman correlation of 0.199%, the main recommendation would be for the nurse staff of the health center to do some informative talks and demonstrative presentations of the benefits of consuming micronutrients and food with a high level of iron to prevent anemia. That way it will help to contribute with a good nutrition and improve the quality of the children's lives.
