Abstract

El trabajo académico, Cuidados de enfermero a paciente con cetoacidosis diabética en el Servicio de Emergencia, Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia; es producto de una revisión teórica y su aplicación práctica en el abordaje de emergencias en pacientes diabéticos y sus complicaciones agudas, tiene como objetivo: presentar a un paciente con las manifestaciones clínicas de una Cetoacidosis diabética, distinguir las necesidades modificadas, rectificar, mantener y restablecer al paciente mediante el uso de información y técnicas; teniendo en cuenta que no se cura , solo se puede controlar la enfermedad. Actualmente, las enfermedades metabólicas entre ellas la diabetes constituyen como un problema de salud pública donde las complicaciones agudas y crónicas erogan gastos enormes al paciente, familia y la sociedad.Academic work, Nursing care for patients with diabetic ketoacidosis in the Emergency Service, Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia; It is the product of a theoretical review and its practical application in the approach of emergencies in diabetic patients and their acute complications, aims to: present a patient with the clinical manifestations of a diabetic ketoacidosis, in it distinguish the needs modified, rectify, maintain and re-establish the patient through the use of information and techniques; all together that the patient recovers in the most conceivable brief time considering that it is not cured, only the disease can be controlled. Currently, metabolic diseases, including diabetes, constitute a public health problem where acute and chronic complications incur enormous costs to the patient, family and society
